The date for the next COP25 conference in Chile has been announced
The next UN Climate Change Conference will take place from 2nd to 13th December 2019 in Santiago de Chile. This has been announced at the beginning of March by the Chilean environmental minister, Carolina Schmidt. The pre-face of the biggest international event in Chile since the World Cup in 1962, will already start 26th of November.
agroAMBIENTE being presented at a regional conference on sensors
Yesterday our director and network manager Saskia Richter presented our agroAMBIENTE network during the simul+ forum on sensor technology, held at the KSI Meinsberg. She spoke about the application field of sensors in the Chilean agriculture and sparked interest in the audience.
The forum was dedicated as well to topics such as smart agriculture and precision farming and looked at international trends when it comes to sensor development and application.

Presenting at the informative event Chile & Peru by the Economic Development Agency of Saxony
Today our general manager Saskia Richter presented the possibilities for German, and especially Saxon, companies of the energetic and environmental sector in the Chilean market, during an event organised by the Economic Development Agency of Saxony. During this opportunity she also presented the current international ZIM network agroAMBIENTE.
iBDC Group and FWE GmbH visiting Chile
From 12th to 16th November 2018, iBDC Group and FWE GmbH have been visiting Chile in order to meet potential business partners and customers there. Besides visiting already known companies and institutes, they also had the chance to meet new potential partners and to generate new project ideas with them. They not only hay meetings in Santiago de Chile, but also visited the regions Biobio and Maule.

The Latin America Day this year was dedicated towards the country Chile. At the first conference day experts discussed the role of commercial alliances in the region and especially highlighted the most succesfull one, the Pacific Alliance. The second conference day was about the guest country Chile itself. There have been present several entrepreneurs and business men/women from Chile as well as representatives of public and private institutions.
Commercial mission agroAMBIENTE to Chile from 4th to 7th December 2017
Thanks to the support of WFS and SMUL, we had the opportunity to be part from 04.12 to 07.12 of different activities in Chile, starting on Monday in Santiago with a series of "briefings" with presentations by CORFO, CNID, Fundación Chile, among other entities. On Tuesday, we traveled to the Maule region to visit in the morning the Center of Research and Innovation of Concha y Toro and the biogas plant of the San Pedro Vineyard in the afternoon.
On Wednesday we were part of conferences and workshops where we had the pleasure of getting to know the activities and challenges of entities like Javi Hidráulica, Concha y Toro, Fraunhofer Chile, among others. We finished the trip of the technological consortium agroAMBIENTE on Thursday going to Llay Llay, in the Valparaiso region, where we visited the company Agrifrut Ltda. destined to the harvest, packaging and distribution of fruits.
Guests from Chile in Germany
The last 10 days our consultant for international business development, Saskia Richter, was accompanying a delegation of the Cámara Chilena de la Construcción (Chilean Chamber of Construction) in Múnich and Stuttgart and surroundings. The agenda of the visit was organised by Camchal and had a focus on sustainable construction. Within the agenda there were visits to projects, companies and the exchange of technical knowledge.
Which countries of the Pacific Alliance should be considered?
In 2017 there will be organised several business trips to Latin America for German companies
Once again iBDC Group supported a Saxon delegation from 12th to 16th November of the SMUL to Santiago de Chile
The Saxon delegation, leaded by the Saxon Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Thomas Schmidt, participated in numerous events and meetings in Santiago the Chile and surroundings, informing themselves about the current situation in both sectors and making interesting contacts. Our consultant and managing director, Saskia Richter, supported Camchal and WFS in the preparation and realisation of the trip.
This year again we take part in the Latin America Day in Hamburg organised by the Lateinamerika e.V.
This year's first conference day focuses on the Federal Republic of Mexiko whereas on the second conference day we will discuss the future perspectives of Latin America.
Until the 25th of November 2016 companies can still apply for industrial Research and Development projects with Chile within the framework of the program "EUREKA GlobalStars"
The licitation is open for products, procedures and services of all technological areas and fields of application. The application is open to SMEs of the EUREKA member states such as Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, Spain and Turkey regarding mutual research and development projects.

Today our managing director and international consultant, Ms Saskia Richter, was appointed as member of the Committee of Foreign Trade by the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of Leipzig
Her area of responsibility includes among others:
- Analysis of foreign economies and problem areas within the regional Chamber of Leipzig and Saxony
- Discussion of and statement to infrastructure and regional economic policy
- Active support and strategic development of foreign trade topics and activities of the Chamber of Commerce of Leipzig
- Coordination of foreign trade activities with the City of Leipzig and the regional Chamber of Leipzig as well as AWIS
- Statements and recomendations on foreign trade promotion of the Free State of Saxony
Last week we accompanied the President of the Federal Council of Germany and Prime Minister of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich, during a political and commercial mission to Mexico and Cuba...
...and could acquire new interesting contacts and collect useful information for our clients.
Chile positions itself again as Number One in Latin America within the "World Competitiveness Yearbook 2016"
Once again Chile positions itself among the first in international rankings and can sustain its position as Number One in Latin America. The Andean country again leads the World Competitiveness Yearbook, which is published regularly by the Swiss International Institute for Management Development.
From 22nd to 27th November 2015 we participated in a commercial mission organised by the Saxon Ministry of Environment and Agriculture to Chile and Brazil
